Welcome to AAGSThe Anne Arundel Genealogical Society strives to assist fellow researchers in documenting their family research. We invite you to join us, to visit our research center, to browse our web site and to attend our monthly presentations and special events. Our Historical and Genealogical Research Center and library in Glen Burnie houses over 4,000 books, many photographs, maps, CDs, and collections of obituaries, bible and church records. Because our history is so connected with our neighboring counties and states, we have an extensive collection of materials from the Maryland area and other states. Beginning, intermediate, and experienced family history researchers will find resources both usual and unusual in the Kuethe Library and at our meetings, each month featuring a presentation by an expert in some aspect of historical, local, ethnic, or archival topics. Visitors are welcome. We invite you to participate on a committee or as an attendee, a presenter, or as a submitter of articles to our quarterly newsletter. Perhaps our most important asset is our staff of experienced genealogists. Having an all volunteer staff means that the people you'll meet in Kuethe Library or at meetings are really interested in their work and that it is not just a job. Let us know how we might be of assistance to you in your family and historical research. |
